LaCROSSe Out Cancer

Winter Challenge

West Forsyth Youth Lacrosse has combined digital forces to create a fundraising team to go along with our Winter Challenge. We are teaming up with the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation to LaCROSSe Out Cancer! Forty-seven (47) children are diagnosed each day with cancer in the US, and more children under the age of 20 are lost to cancer than any other disease. Research is expensive and progress is limited by a lack of resources. Caring communities like ours can help fill the gap!

Want to help?
We need your support by joining us and making a donation to our team. The process is fast, easy, and secure... and you can be sure that it will benefit a great cause! https://cure.pcrf-kids.org/team/624552
In return for your generosity, you may challenge our West team members to complete any of the following challenges throughout the winter:

47 Ground Balls a day
47 Shots on goal a day
47 Wall ball reps a day
47 consecutive buddy passes

Your donation will also contribute to our Team goal.  The top fundraising team will get to come down on the field at Bobby Dodd Stadium during the LaCROSSe Out Cancer Atlanta Invitational featuring Maryland vs. Notre Dame on 3/1/25, for a team photo and check presentation!

Thank you for your support and Go West!

Welcome to Our Program

U11 team huddle

West Forsyth Boys Youth Lacrosse offers programs for K-8th grade boys that's focused on growing the game of lacrosse here in Forsyth County. Our goals are to teach the fundamentals of lacrosse through positive coaching and sportsmanship at all times. We aim to educate, equip and empower youth sports leaders, volunteers and parents so all children can enjoy the lifelong benefits of lacrosse. Our Little Shooters Program is for K-1st grade and introduces the game to children in a clinic-style setting, one day per week, teaching the fundamentals of the game. Starting in 2nd grade, players are placed on a team which participates in the Newtown Park Lacrosse League, practicing twice per week and playing games on the weekends. Both spring and fall seasons include clinic style learning sessions. This enables consistent learning of the essential lacrosse skills necessary to continue to develop a passion and enjoyment of the game. In the Spring, boys in 6th through 8th grades that would normally play in the Rec league also have the opportunity to play more competitive lacrosse through the Select program. The Select teams play through the GMSAA, Georgia Middle School Athletic Association, against other high school affiliated feeder teams throughout North Atlanta. Our Select program is the only "OFFICIAL" West Forsyth High School Boy's feeder program. Our program is completely supported by Coach John Laden, coach of the 2023 GHSA 7A State Champions and 2023 National Interscholastic Lacrosse Coaches Association Coach of the Year, and his coaching staff. Our teams learn curriculum developed by Coach Laden.

Our home field is at Sawnee Mountain Park where we are fortunate to have one of the best lacrosse setups in the state. Join our program and see what being a part of the West Family is all about!!!!
