Georgia Middle School Athletic Association (GMSAA)

The Georgia Middle School Athletic Association (GMSAA) is a residence based middle school lacrosse and football program with more than 4,500 student-athletes. At the GMSAA a student-athlete must play for the program of the high school district they live within. This allows the high school coaching staff to start developing their athletes at the 6th grade level as opposed to the freshman year in high school. The GMSAA encourages the high school coaching staff to help implement the same offense and defense as the high school giving the middle school players a greater knowledge of plays and concepts.
At the GMSAA, we also enforce our by-laws in a very strict manor allowing for the highest level of safety and coach’s knowledge of concussion protocol and procedure. The GMSAA is committed to our athletes along with their growth and knowledge of the game. Our Board of Executive Directors and Region Managers have more many years of experience in coaching the fundamentals of the game, player safety, and leadership in the community.  Being a GMSAA member is an honor for both the member programs and the league. We have had thousands of athletes move on to the high school, college, and professional ranks and we stand by our “Commitment to Excellence”.

Newtown Recreation

ABOUT US
In the summer of 1999, Newtown Recreation, a non-profit, family-oriented youth athletic organization of North Fulton County, was formed with the purpose of providing quality youth athletic programs for children in the North Fulton area. Our athletic programs are held at Johns Creek’s Newtown Park on Old Alabama Road and on several fields at local Fulton County schools.

OUR MISSION
Newtown Recreation is dedicated to increasing the quality of life in our community by providing positive sports experiences for all coaches, parents and children. We believe that each child, regardless of athletic ability, should have an opportunity to grow athletically and socially through participation in athletic programs that are fun and safe.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
We believe that kids participate in sports because they want to have fun, make new friends and most importantly, because they want to play! We promote positive coaching methods that offer praise and encouragement to all players. Our programs encourage fun, team play, sportsmanship, individual development and parental participation. We believe that playing the game is the most important reason for the contest and not who wins or loses.

OUR ORGANIZATION
We are a non-profit, self-supported, youth athletic organization of the City of Johns Creek. The day to day operations of Newtown Recreation are managed by 3 full time employees. An all- volunteer board of directors provides oversight and direction.

USA Lacrosse

The home of lacrosse

USA Lacrosse, a Recognized Sports Organization of the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee, is proud to serve the sport by bringing the energy and excitement to our efforts that the players, coaches and officials bring every time they step on the field.

We collaborate with passionate experts across the sport to create opportunities for people to enjoy the sport, learn about the game, keep participants safe and ensure that everyone feels welcome.

Collaboration is something the organization was built upon. We were established in 1998 as US Lacrosse following the merger of eight national lacrosse organizations, mostly volunteer-run, to help bring more resources to the sport. In 2021, the organization's name was rebranded to USA Lacrosse.

Today, USA Lacrosse serves more than 400,000 members and we have invested more than $300 million into the sport's development since our inception. We're ready to do even more. Join us.

Our Mission

As the governing body of lacrosse in the United States, USA Lacrosse provides national leadership, structure and resources to fuel the sport’s growth and enrich the experience of participants.

Our Vision

We envision a future that offers everyone a lifelong opportunity to enjoy the sport of lacrosse.
